Hitachi America Ltd. XBRL Business Unit Xinba™ 2.0 Reader Now Available Free at HitachiXBRL.com

BRISBANE, Calif, March 12, 2007 -- Hitachi America, Ltd. XBRL Business Unit, which develops and delivers eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) solutions for corporate and government customers, today announced that its Xinba™ 2.0 Reader is now available in a free downloadable version featuring a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Plug-In that allows users to more easily view SEC Voluntary Filing Program (VFP) filings

Xinba Reader is a desktop-based Microsoft® Excel® add-in that gives users the capability to import, open and read XBRL financial information directly in Microsoft Excel. Unlike other XBRL readers that can only read from proprietary data sources, Xinba Reader can open and read any XBRL-compliant document.

With the addition of the SEC Plug-In, Xinba Reader users can now read and analyze XBRL-based SEC VFP filings quickly and easily. XBRL’s interactive data is leading to a new era in financial analysis, allowing analysts to more easily “get under the hood” of publicly-held companies.
