Hitachi Raises Bar For Mobile Business With CPX2 and CPX5 3LCD Projectors

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, June 19, 2007 – Bringing even greater flexibility and connectivity to traveling professionals, Hitachi America, Ltd., Ubiquitous Platform Systems Division is showcasing its CPX2 and CPX5 3LCD projectors. The CPX2 expands on the success of its predecessor, the CPX1, by adding networking functionality and wireless connectivity, while the CPX5 offers high brightness and an unmatched price/performance ratio.
With a brightness of 2,000 ANSI lumens and a light weight of 4.1 pounds, the CPX2 3LCD projector provides unmatched versatility with no sacrifice in performance. An SD slot supports both wireless connection and PC-less presentation. Additionally, the CPX2’s wide-angle lens allows presenters to place the projector close to the screen, keeping obstruction of the image to a minimum.
The CPX2 boasts XGA resolution and a contrast ratio of 500:1. Adding to the user’s convenience are advanced features exclusive to Hitachi projectors such as My Screen, My Memory and My Button. A built-in 1W speaker means no need for external audio devices, while the projector itself maintains a low noise level of 29 dB in Whisper Mode. The CPX2 also addresses security concerns by offering a transition detector, Kensington lock and PIN lock protection.
With a brightness of 2,500 ANSI lumens at a weight of only 3.9 pounds, the CPX5 is an ideal presentation tool for traveling professionals. The CPX5 offers a wide-angle lens, allowing presenters to place the projector close to the screen to avoid obstruction of the image. Additionally, the CPX5 contains a USB reader, enabling PC-less presentation functionality. The CPX5 provides XGA resolution, a contrast ratio of 500:1 and a low 33 dB of fan noise in Whisper Mode.
The CPX5 also offers proprietary features including My Screen, My Memory and My Button. The CPX5 also contains a built-in 1W speaker as well as security functions such as a transition detector, Kensington lock and PIN lock protection.
