Hitachi Announces Supria® True64 CT Compact Design Receives FDA Clearance

Twinsburg, OH September 14, 2017 - Hitachi Healthcare Americas, Inc., a leading provider of advanced imaging solutions announced it has attained FDA 510(k) clearance to market its Supria True64 Computed Tomography System, the premier model within Hitachi’s Supria compact CT family.

The Supria True64 is a remarkably compact, economical and clinically versatile CT with 64 discrete detector and electronics processing channels to provide rapid thin 64-slice imaging across its full 40mm detector coverage. Supria True64 also emphasizes enhanced workflow capabilities, is XR-29 Smart Dose compliant and adds a new environmental efficiency feature “Eco-Mode” that reduces power consumption by up to 55% during idle periods.

“The Supria True64 in a compact footprint combines enhanced patient access with its enlarged 75cm aperture and standard 500 lbs. weight capacity table and premium image quality provided by True 64 slice scanning. Some compact CT products actually acquire only 32 slices and use software upscaling to produce 64-slice results. Supria True64 does not make the compromises inherent to slice upscaling methods”, said Mark Silverman, Director - CT Marketing.

“The SupriaTrue64 continues Hitachi’s commitment to providing imaging solutions with enhanced speed, comfort and quality. Being mindful of the intense economic and workflow pressures being experienced by CT providers, Hitachi once again is demonstrating our ability and commitment to provide a higher level of CT capabilities at an economic price point”, said Sheldon Schaffer, VP & General Manager MR/CT.
